The Benefits of NCSA Membership

Monday, 01 August 2011 22:44 Published in NCSA General Articles

Showing the world our wares

Trade shows are an excellent way for members to take their products to their users, showing the latest equipment, chemicals and supplies directly to a multitude of users.

Cost-effective trade shows should be available to members throughout Australia. Membership of a national association can achieve this. NCSA plans regular regional shows, smaller and more intimate than occasional, large national shows. So all members, both suppliers and distributors, can benefit.

Seminars and educational lectures

Disseminating information is vital to the cleaning industry, both to users through seminars for such users and for members by way of information sessions on aspects of business that will benefit members in the running of their businesses.

Liaison

Only through membership of a group such as NCSA can individual members benefit through networking with end-users everywhere in Australia.

As a foundation member of the recently formed Cleaning & Hygiene Council of Australia (CHCA), an umbrella body for the industry, NCSA ensures cross-pollination with other members including the two major contractor associations.

In addition, membership of CHCA, by representing the hundreds of thousands of people involved in every aspect of cleaning (including supply) ensures access to government at the highest levels.

Communication

By way of its own regular newsletter and website, NCSA keeps members advised of developments within the organisation. In addition, a very close relationship with trade magazines gives NCSA a forum as well as a voice to take our group messages to the wide world of cleaning.

The NCSA Branch Structure

Monday, 01 August 2011 22:30 Published in NCSA Organisation

When you join the National Cleaning Suppliers Association, you become part of an Australia-wide organisation representing the interests of all suppliers, large and small, wholesale and retail, importer, manufacturer and distributor.

At the time of joining we ask that you stipulate the state/s of the office or offices joining. Where a branch exists, all offices that join automatically become members of the appropriate state's branch.

While there is a National Board as well as a National Executive Committee, each branch has its own committee whose function it is organise and arrange all matters and functions specific to their branch.

In this way, state members are directly served by a local committee. This committee arranges branch social gatherings, local seminars, regional trade shows and is the point of immediate contact for members.

The National Board and National Executive Committee determine and institute the overall policy of the NCSA. The branches are required to operate according to national policy.

However every branch is represented on the National Board and is therefore integral in the formulation of NCSA policy.
